Plaque psoriasis is a complex, chronic disease.
Plaque psoriasis is a complex, chronic disease. As such, using multiple therapies to both clear plaques and help delay their recurrence is an optimal long-term management strategy. Topical Vitamin D3 agents address the chronic nature of plaque psoriasis and are considered safe for long-term use. Initiating topical Vitamin D3 agents at the onset of therapy may provide a sustained benefit, while other treatments that can only be used for a limited time, such as topical steroids, need to be discontinued.
